A Major North East Meeting Point for the Modified Car Community
The modified car element of the Northumberland show continues to be an important part of the event, bringing together individual owners, clubs and groups representing a huge variety of automotive styles.
We want the Northumberland Classic & Performance Motor Show 2027 to continue growing as a destination for the North East modified car community, welcoming everything from subtly upgraded road cars and OEM+ builds to show cars, tuned performance vehicles, custom builds and extensively modified machines.
Owners travel to Corbridge from across the region, including Newcastle, Gateshead, Sunderland, Durham, Hexham, Carlisle, Teesside and the wider North East, while the location also makes the event accessible for clubs and enthusiasts travelling south from Edinburgh, Glasgow and the Scottish Borders or north from Cumbria and the Lake District.
If your club is looking for a modified car show in the North East where members can display together alongside classic, performance and supercar owners, this is a date to add to the 2027 calendar.
A Car Show Worth Travelling to from Scotland, Cumbria & the North East
Corbridge’s location makes the Northumberland Classic & Performance Motor Show particularly well placed for enthusiasts travelling from both sides of the England-Scotland border.
The show regularly brings together enthusiasts from throughout the North East of England, while its Northumberland location provides an attractive summer destination for owners travelling from Edinburgh, Glasgow, the Scottish Borders, Carlisle, Cumbria and the Lake District.
For clubs planning a summer road trip, the combination of Saturday night camping and Sunday’s motor show provides the opportunity to turn the event into a full motoring weekend rather than simply travelling to and from the show in a single day.
Quiet Family Camping – Make a Weekend of the Northumberland Motor Show
Travelling from further afield? Make a weekend of your visit with quiet family camping available at Tynedale Park on Saturday 14th August 2027.
Camping is designed to provide a relaxed and convenient overnight stay for exhibitors, club members and visitors arriving ahead of Sunday’s show. It is particularly useful for those travelling longer distances from Scotland, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Cumbria and the Lake District.
This is a quiet family camping area rather than a late-night festival campsite, helping everyone enjoy a comfortable evening before an early start at the motor show on Sunday morning.
No BBQs or open fires are permitted. Well-behaved campers are warmly welcome and camping spaces will be limited, so advance booking is strongly recommended once 2027 reservations open.
Further information on arrival times, camping facilities and 2027 camping prices will be confirmed when bookings open.
Exhibit Your Car or Motorcycle at the Northumberland Motor Show
The show is created around the vehicle owners who bring their cars, motorcycles and specialist vehicles to Corbridge, and private owners are warmly invited to exhibit.
You do not need to belong to a car club to take part. Individual exhibitors can book their vehicle into the appropriate display category and enjoy the day as part of the show.
Exhibitor categories include classic cars, modern classics, modified cars, custom cars, performance cars, supercars, hypercars, motorsport vehicles, motorcycles, 4x4s and commercial vehicles.
Traditional classic entries are generally welcomed for appropriate pre-2010 vehicles, while modified, performance, supercar, hypercar, motorsport and motorcycle entries can include vehicles of any age where appropriate to the display category.
Discounted advance exhibitor bookings for Sunday 15th August 2027 will open soon.
Car Club Stands – Classic, Performance & Modified Car Clubs Welcome
Car clubs are at the heart of the atmosphere at the Northumberland show, and we welcome applications from clubs throughout England and Scotland.
Whether you represent a classic car club, marque club, modified car club, performance car group, supercar club, Japanese car club, German car club, American car club, motorcycle club or regional owners’ community, dedicated club display areas allow members to park and exhibit together.
Clubs from Newcastle, Northumberland, Durham, Sunderland, Teesside, Cumbria, Carlisle, Edinburgh, Glasgow and the Scottish Borders are invited to make Corbridge part of their 2027 show calendar.
Larger clubs should book early once registration opens so that suitable space can be allocated within the showground.
Classic & Modern Motorcycle Displays
Two wheels are just as welcome as four.
Motorcycle owners and clubs can join the show with classic motorcycles, modern bikes, custom motorcycles, sports bikes, touring bikes and specialist machines.
This gives visitors searching for a motorcycle show in Northumberland or classic bike show in the North East another reason to spend the day exploring the displays at Corbridge.
Show Arena, Vehicle Parades & Live Commentary
The main show arena brings selected vehicles out from the static displays throughout the day for parades, interviews and commentary.
It gives visitors the opportunity to discover the stories behind unusual classics, significant historic vehicles, modified builds, performance cars, motorcycles and specialist exhibits while providing owners with the chance to showcase their vehicle to the wider audience.
A full 2027 arena schedule and any special displays will be announced nearer the event.
Automotive Traders, Specialists & Motoring Stands
A varied selection of automotive traders and specialist motoring businesses will complement the vehicle displays.
Visitors can browse stands offering automotive products, detailing equipment, tools, vehicle accessories, specialist parts, models, books, memorabilia, clothing, gifts and other motoring-related products.
A limited number of specialist parts and autojumble traders may also attend, but the emphasis of the event remains firmly on the cars, motorcycles, clubs and automotive community.
Trader applications for Northumberland 2027 will open soon.
A Family Day Out in Northumberland
You do not need to own a specialist vehicle to enjoy the show. Visitors are welcome to spend the day exploring hundreds of cars and motorcycles while meeting owners, clubs and traders.
Catering and refreshments will be available within the event, making the Northumberland Classic & Performance Motor Show an enjoyable summer day out for dedicated petrolheads, young enthusiasts and families alike.
Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome.
